John Winslade, Ph.D.

John Winslade, PhD, is a Professor and Associate Dean of the College of Education at California State University San Bernardino & part-time Associate Professor at the University of Waikato in New Zealand. He is the co-author of Narrative mediation: A new approach to conflict resolution (2000) & Practicing narrative mediation: Loosening the grip of conflict (2008). He has also co-authored five other books on narrative therapy. His latest book, with Mike Williams, is entitled, Safe and Peaceful Schools: Addressing conflict and eliminating violence (in press). He edits Explorations: An E-Journal of narrative practice and is on the board of: the Journal of Conflictology; The International Journal of Narrative Therapy and Community Work; The Journal of Systemic Therapies; and formerly Conflict Resolution Quarterly. His articles have appeared in The Negotiation Journal; Conflict Resolution Quarterly; Family Process and many other places. He has taught workshops on narrative mediation and narrative therapy in many places in North America, Australasia, Europe, Asia, & the Middle East
